Average entry level laptopThis is a good to great budget laptop that will suffice for most users. The dual core 8145 processor is surprisingly snappy with most tasks and the 8gb memory is more than enough. The casing is very solidly built and the ports are nice and numerous (though it's missing a USB C port). The battery life is mediocre, you'll probably get around 8 hrs or so of web surfing out of it.The biggest drawback is the screen. The 3583 does NOT have a FHD screen (1080p), it's only 720p. With the included Windows 10, the colors are washed out and the screen only has a very limited viewing angle. Tuning it with the intel control panel makes it a little more tolerable. But the fonts/text all appear slightly grainy still (distracting).The 2nd lesser drawback is the somewhat comfortable palm rests, the edges are a little too hard and not rounded. After typing for a while, you'll feel a dig at the wrists, though certainly not intolerably so.All in all, a solid budget laptop for not that much money with surprisingly good system performance. Dell had to cut a few corners to make it at this price point and the screen really suffers as a result.
