I’ll preface all this with the one negative thing that was an annoyance: they put the function key in the bottom left corner instead of the ctrl. This is still a 5 star review because there’s an option in the bios to switch their functionality and the rest of what I have to say is praise.I had some specific requirements for a laptop and it met them all splendidly... I wanted it to be able to install Linux easily, have an rj45 jack (I didn’t realize how rare those were, but as a network admin I didn’t want to have to rely on a usb dongle), and was looking for a good core count cpu as I write/compile code frequently, do business work, etc. and didn’t care about gpu.My experience installing Linux was about the easiest one I’ve had (Lenovo specifically supports Ubuntu) and furthermore I was able to pull the windows pro license key, installed windows pro in VMware and had no problems with windows activation in the vm either. All I’ve done is set it up, but everything worked so well and met all my needs so well that I wanted to come write about my experience with the product. For the few people looking for something with those specific requirements, but it now!Edit: since Amazon reminded me about my review I’ll add my 2 cents on long term usage. I haven’t ran into many problems - since I have several VMs I’ve had to upgrade my ssd to be larger than 512 Gb and I had some problems with the screen going black and not waking back up but a bios update fixed that, so currently still a strong recommendation.
