I bought the computer primarily as a backup to my 5+ year old desktop computer. It will work just fine for that purpose since it is well equipped with 4 USB ports, one of which allows me to connect via ethernet using an adapter (sold separately). I can also connect a USB mouse and keyboard, and there's an HDMI port as well. So for all of the above it suits my needs. But the keyboard is really poorly thought out. The arrangement and size is fine, but the letters are a darker gray on top of a lighter gray. That wouldn't be a problem if the keyboard was backlit, but it's not. It would be difficult to impossible to see special keys in low light conditions, it''s hard enough with good lighting. The battery life is terrible, about 90 minutes. I had purchased another laptop for my wife about a year ago with 10+ hours of battery life. 90 minutes is fine if you don't stray to far from a power source. I built my primary computer around an ASUS motherboard and am elated with it. I really expected more from them with this purchase. I'll be keeping it since it is more than adequate for my needs, but if you're looking for something that actually functions like a notebook, the keyboard lighting and battery life should be real concerns.The battery last very long…. Maybe one thing I didn’t know was that the system is Microsoft because this is my first time buy a Asus but the computer is very very good how it works is perfect for people who do programming gaming or trading even daily office work too.I was apprehensive about buying a computer through Amazon but it appears to be the real deal. It's fast, works well, and is exactly what I wanted.The battery life sucks, but otherwise, it's great.Really happy with my new Asus laptop. I have an older Asus laptop that still works perfectly after 12 years so I chose to purchase another one.This laptop works well in most respects. However, no where in the description does it specify the USB-C connector that is included. The USB-C connector is for "data transfer only" which means it cannot be used with a USB C Hub. If you are buying this laptop with the intent to use dual monitors, it will not work. Be careful with your purchase.The seller should clearly mark the USB C descriptor to specify the connection is DATA TRANSFER ONLY and does not support USB C Hub or dual monitors.
